- Rocker Heaven is a saga, the adventures of a 60s rockstar, one Chipper Stirbee, who after 16 months of fame disappears from view in a lurid scandal in Cincinnati Summer of 69--the cause, of course, old time sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll--only to be resurrected 40 years later for a rare second shot at stardom. The scene is slightly futuristic. The chapters document his travels and the myriad characters he encounters between two different eras: in the East Village of the late 60s, during his lengthy disappearance into the woods of northernmost Maine, along his journey to an uncharted Caribbean isle where he ventures deep into the earth's volcanic past. By happenstance Chipper Stirbee finds himself engulfed in an environmental apocalypse as one mega-corporation, QuotLink Inc, positions itself for the ultimate in global takeover. Hence, while he mounts the stage at Wembley Stadium outside London as the headliner of the largest benefit concert ever held, with billions watching on live satellite TV, he readies himself because lo, at this moment of his greatest triumph, the QuotLinks are laying a trap to kidnap him or worse, and so silence him forever.
