Easy Installation for Tough Fire Protection Lightweight, yet strong, 3M Fire Barrier Plenum Wrap 5A+ is a fire-resistant wrap. We designed this wrap with an inorganic fiber blanket encapsulated with a scrim-reinforced foil, creating a fire-resistive enclosure that can reduce the flame and smoke spread ratings to acceptable levels in return air plenums. This product is tested to UL 910 (NFPA 262), UL 1887, and ASTM E 84 and is made with flexible material for easy installation. We constructed this material to be a non-asbestos wrap with a 6 pcf (96 kg/m3) density. Recommended Applications: Our 3M Fire Barrier Plenum Wrap 5A+ is a protective covering which helps reduce the flame propagation and smoke generation of pipes and cables, including: Single and multiple 1-inch diameter (25.4 mm) and larger plastic pipe and cable bundles; PVC; CPVC; PB; PE; PP; PVDF; ASB pipes in return air plenums. Innovative and Flexible Fire-Resistant Wrap: Wrap and protect plastic pipes in plenum areas more easily with our 3M Fire Barrier Plenum Wrap 5A+.
