- Power Assemblies Type W Portable Power extension cables are commonly used in the temporary power industry as well as the entertainment industry. Our Generator Power Cables incorporate standard male to female series 16 cam locks on both ends of the cable assembly allowing for a user-friendly “plug and play” operation. All Type-W Assemblies come available in your choice of CAM colors to conveniently phase-match your voltage configurations. Unique Features Type-W Generator Cables are often utilized for more demanding applications such as high voltage generator connections, construction, marine, mining, industrial environments, as well as military sectors. These types of applications have the potential to be harsh and unpredictable, which is why Power Assemblies Type-W Cords are a practical option to keep you connected when you need it most. Type-W Cables are housed in (2) layers of Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) abrasion-resistant thermoset jackets insulated with EPR rubber to stand up to the most rugged terrains. These materials protect the generator cable, making them resistant to heat, oil, chemicals, acids, and harsh UV conditions. Versatility and Safety Power Assemblies’ Type-W Generator Extension Cables are convenient, reliable, and safe. The series 16 camlock connectors incorporated into the design of these cables are locking connectors that twist & lock into place. Camlock connectors bring versatility and safety into the design of the Power Assemblies Type-W Cable Extensions. The CAM lock plugs are UL listed and NEMA Type 3R while connected. Female/Male 16 Series taper nose Cams are made of Santoprene TPV material. Another aspect that makes these generator cables so prominent in the temporary power industry is the consumer’s ability to utilize them repeatedly on various different projects.
