Soft Rubber Mallets produce a full and resonant sound with some give and a gentle attack; ideal for drawing out a pleasant tone with reduced sharpness when striking your instrument WHERE TO USE: made for melodic percussion instruments like steel tongue drum, marimba, vibraphone, metallophone, wood log drum, or keyboard percussion instruments with rosewood ONE BIG THING: please check our other mallets for uses where you need a sharper attack like xylophone, glockenspiel, bells, energy chime, or wood blocks; the Timber Drum Co. T2HP Hard Poly or TB3M Brass mallets are best suited for these purposes OF NOTE: handles are made of smooth solid birch with rounded tips and are well-balanced; we stain the handles by hand in our shop to bring out the natural wood grain for a high-end look BY THE NUMBERS: 15.25" L (total), 1" mallet heads, 5/16" diameter handles; sold in pairs THE TAKEAWAY: these mallets give you a rich, soft, sweet sound on more delicate percussion instruments; great for all ages and skill levels
