Sobre este producto
  • Living Impaired was formed in Lewiston, Maine in the fall of 1992 and relentlessly pushed the boundaries of underground metal until October 1998.The original line-up of Dan Porter, Mike Rabineau, and Eric J Gosselin were determined to create an original style amongst a growing breed of death metal formula bands, and would do so in a way that broke genres melding death, punk, thrash, and speed metal all into one. Within a year of conception, Living Impaired played the regional New England area tirelessly and started to plan the Spring 1994 'Perpetual Motion Tour' taking them across the U.S. from Maine to California. Six months later, the 'Humans Way Tour' took the band to new markets in the Midwest and southern states. Two releases, the 'Flea Market Religion' demo and the 'No Future/Perpetual Motion Man 7"(Body Bag Records- Montreal Quebec) were reviewed in fanzines internationally and played on underground radio worldwide. In August 1995, a terrible accident in Colorado left bassist/vocalist Rabineau dead at the age of 19. The tragedy was devastating and the band was forced into hiatus for a period while determining what to do next. In 1996 a tribute CD to Rabineau was done with the recordings left behind entitled 'World Keeps Spinning'. During 1996, the band saw the entrance of Shane Yonuss on bass and vocals to replace Rabineau and have a new step forward. While Rabineau had previously considered leaving LI, his blessing was given to Yonuss during that time to replace him, so the band was sure it would have been what Mike wanted. Yonuss' style brought a new dimension to the LI sound and created an even heavier edge than the band already had, now dubbing the new sound, 'Futuristic Sonic Grind' Drummer Dan Porter decided to leave shortly after and that brought on the addition local drum monster Tony Cortez. The 'Spring Tour 97', a one off show in Montreal opening for Kataklysm, and a session in Bangor, Maine for an EP, had put LI back in motion. Summer 97 brought the addition of local technical drummer Steve Boucher after Cortez had parted ways and the band went on to do the 'Static Atmosphere Tour' in winter 1997. This outing took them to the southern states including Florida, Louisiana and Alabama amongst many others. A new CD entitled 'Blossom and Decay' solidified the return of the band and the 'Blossom and Decay Tour' took LI across the states for it's most ambitious trek covering 10,000miles. Unfortunately, the end of the band was a hard realization after what seemed to be irreconcilable differences with the last show being in Las Vegas, NV on Oct.16th 1998. Fast forward to 2013 and Yonuss, Gosselin and Cortez have reunited to put together this special limited edition recording and a show in LI's hometown area for a peek THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.
