Semiconductor materials have some unique properties which can be utilized to manufacture semiconductor devices and integrated circuits. An electric circuit made up of several transistors and wiring components is called a semiconductor chip, and it is produced on a semiconductor wafer. Wafers of the 200 mm type are more well adapted to the mixed, small lot production required for devices for the Internet of Things than the 300 mm type, which provides the enhanced miniaturization needed for cutting-edge electronics. We can lead comfortable lives thanks to semiconductors. For example, semiconductors are used for manufacturing temperature sensors for air conditioners. Semiconductors are also used in a wide range of everyday digital consumer goods, including mobile phones and smartphones, digital cameras, televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, and LED lights. In addition to consumer devices, semiconductors are essential to the operation of trains, bank ATMs, the internet, communications, and other facets of the social infrastructure, including, among other things, the medical network utilized for aged care.
