- The E1 sits on a stylish main base, directly inspired by other Pro-Ject designs. It is a CNC machined composite fiber platform, which does not contain hollow space and has excellent anti-resonance properties. Mounted inside the pedestal, there is a precision belt transmission system with a damping DC motor, connected to a sub-plate. The sub-tray operates the new ABS polymer main plate, which is reinforced with specially designed ribs to create an ideal anti-resonant platform for your vinyl. The automatic gear change is easily controlled by the 3-position ignition switch located on the side of the base. The E1 turntable arm is a new 8.6-inch model with a one-piece aluminum tube, a two-point bearing assembly and a new fixed housing. The result is an authentic hi-fi quality suspension arm with low moving mass and good electrical isolation; perfect for accurate music reproduction. The turntable arm is equipped with a high-quality phono cartridge for excellent sound. The turntable arm is also factory configured for downforce and anti-slip setup, so there's no need for a complicated setup; you can start reading straight out of the box! The E1 is a product designed for music lovers, by music lovers. At a time when the market is saturated with record players, Pro-Ject Audio Systems seeks to stay true to its audiophile roots, while listening to what customers want. So the E1 is easy to set up and produces highly appealing and accessible sound that really makes your records sing. But it is also made without cutting corners.
