Our 2 1/2 in. Polished Brass Lighted Round Door Chime Button can be used with doorbell chimes, ringers, and door buzzers. It's also ideal to use as a doorbell button replacement and may be placed on various wall surfaces, such as stucco or wood. If using as a replacement, there may be no need for drilling. Versatile and reliable, it will work with practically any door bell transformer or wired chime. With this, you can easily locate the switch even after dark. The doorbell wire does not come included in this package. PLEASE NOTE: A diode is needed (not included) if you are using a digital chime (plays a melody; has a speaker for the sound). A diode is NOT needed if you are using a mechanical doorbell chime (a 2-note sound; like a small mallet hitting a metal bar).
