Kahlo suffered numerous tribulations throughout her life, from polio and a near-death road accident in her early life, to a tumultuous relationship with her husband Diego Rivera. However, this never stopped Frida from living life on her own terms and wholeheartedly embracing her weirdness. Each card in this pack features a different image of her work, which often featured self-portraits depicting her joys and sorrows. She never moulded her art to fit societal expectations of what was “acceptable” at the time, instead she always followed her head and her heart.
