This process can help reduce the amount of chlorine needed, similar to methods used in saltwater pools and small electric systems. COST-EFFECTIVE POOL MAINTENANCE: Our pool ionizer can help cut annual chemical costs with easy maintenance features. The copper electrode is durable, lasting approximately two years, providing potential long-term savings and environmental benefits. IMPORTANT: LID SIZING: The outer lid is 9 inch 7/8 and the inner ring of the lid is 8 inch 1/4. For best performance always double check that the screw connecting to bottom unit is as tight as possible to maintain it's water tight seal. Carefully remove the unit in order to clean the basket. NOTE: This solar pool ionizer is not compatible with pools using a hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) treatment system. For best results, we recommend a traditional chlorine-based sanitization plan.
