This reachout lock and receiver kit works with 200 Series Perma-Shield Gliding, 200 Series Narroline Gliding, 400 Series Frenchwood Gliding patio doors manufactured from 1994 to present. This sliding door lock will replace andersen previous vintages reachout locks and receivers part numbered 2573558, 2573562, 2565507 2565509 and new part numbered 2562123. The lock mechanism reaches out hooks the receiver pulls the door closed and locks the door. If necessary, some wood needs to be chiseled out of the door jamb where the receiver will be installed. This package includes the reachout lock mechanism often called the deadlock that installs in the door panel and the receiver often called the strike that installs in the door frame. Adjust Panel/Jamb fit using a small flat blade screwdriver to turn adjustment screw on Latch Receiver, if necessary. Turning it counter-clockwise toward the "IN" position for a tighter fit. Turning it clockwise toward the "OUT" position for a looser fit. This lock and receiver latch are suitable for all 2 panel sliding patio doors with reachout hardware.
