This RV Step Magnetic Switch replacement (369299) is designed to fix common sensor issues and restore proper automatic step operation. By replacing the faulty RV step magnet switch, you can regain smooth, dependable step extension and retraction without the cost and hassle of replacing the entire electric step assembly. Compatible with 32 Series Electric Steps, this magnetic door switch detects door movement accurately and sends a stable signal to the step controller, allowing your RV steps to respond automatically every time the door opens or closes. Once installed, your steps operate as intended—safe, predictable, and ready for daily use. Installation Steps 1. Power Off & Remove Old Switch Disconnect power and remove the old door switch. 2. Connect the New Switch Wiring Route the two wires along the original path. Connect one wire to Power (control module) and one to Ground (vehicle chassis). Make sure connections are tight with no exposed wires. 3. Install Switch & Magnet Door Frame (Main Switch): Test position with double sided tape first. After confirming proper step operation, secure with screws. Door (Magnet): Align magnet vertically with the switch. Step should extend when door opens 1–4 in (2.5–10 cm). Mount magnet at least 6 in (15 cm) above door bottom. 4. Test & Secure Restore power and test auto extend/retract. Adjust alignment if needed. Secure screws, tidy wires with zip ties. Seal bottom wire hole with waterproof sealant. Notes: Manual measurement, please allow slight errors in size. Please allow slight color differences due to different monitors and light effects
